Seth Huthmaker
Seth Huthmaker is a Project Scientist with the Center for Secure and Intelligent Critical Systems (CSICS), where he contributes to research focused on 5G and radar coexistence. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Old Dominion University in 2025, with a concentration in Computer Hardware Systems and a minor in Computer Science.
During his undergraduate studies, Seth was actively involved in technical leadership and applied research. He served as the Public Liaison Officer for the Old Dominion University chapter of IEEE and was a project lead for the NASA Technology Transfer Program, where he helped implement multiple RFID-based patents. In the summer of 2024, he interned at the Virginia Modeling, Analysis & Simulation Center (VMASC), supporting research through 3D modeling, additive manufacturing, and control system design for cybersecurity studies related to the Dominion Energy Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project.
In his current role as a Project Scientist with CSICS, he continues his work on the 5G/Radar project and is expanding his technical skill set through xApp development and near-real-time RIC research. He looks forward to continuing to grow as a researcher while contributing to the successful completion of the project.
