Dr. Priyanka Aggarwal is working as a senior project scientist at Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) at Old Dominion University. She holds an adjunct faculty position at University of Dayton, Ohio. She has over 12+ years of industry and academic experience in building successful algorithms and predictive models of complex problems. • Her expertise include handling massive quantity of disparate, conflicting data and designing robust machine learning solutions. Dr. Aggarwal has developed innovative sensor fusion algorithms based on bayesian theory, artificial neural networks, knowledge based neural networks, support vector machines, Dempster-Shafer theory, clustering based particle filter, deep learning networks etc. She has hands-on experience in statistics, probability, data mining and visualization techniques. Her current work includes targeted transfer learning, federated machine learning, strategies for object classification in images, malware detection in networks and developing context-aware wearable devices. • Dr. Aggarwal has led and been part of multiple teams delivering technology-based solutions for several defense projects sponsored by Air Force, DARPA and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). She has supervised a group of M.S. and Ph.D. students and conceived several grant proposals leading to federal funding. Dr. Aggarwal has a strong record of numerous peer reviewed publications including a book on MEMS based integrated navigation.
